This was Leni Riefenstahl’s most successful documentary film, and one that lead her to the spotlight. It was named after the Nazi Party in Nuremburg, Germany 1934. The film received the awards of the gold medal in Venice in 1935 as well as the gold medal at the World Exhibition in Paris in 1937. Following the war however, the film was deemed as a National Socialist propaganda film and ultimately destroyed Riefenstahl’s career.
